‘Lyla’ ‘My dear friend Lizzie asked me if I would paint the enchanting Lyla a new addition to her extended family. Under pressure from other commitments that had deadlines I’m afraid that the delays to Lyla’s picture is now ‘A Once upon a Time Fairy’ as she is now a little older. However with her picture beside me all this time I was able to study her beautiful features and her innocence to enchant. I was looking for a rare and beautiful butterfly to compliment her and felt that the silver-studded blue that flies from mid June to late July in Cornwall and the New forest would be perfect.
